Save the World!

Most Americans know we’re in a cost-of-living crisis, and energy prices are one of the biggest pain points. This was true before the war. Now, the conflict in Iran has poured gasoline on that fire. Gas prices have already hit $4 a gallon, $1 more than *before* the war started. Billions of dollars in Gulf refining infrastructure have been destroyed, with damage that will outlast the conflict itself. Iran has been fighting back through gas prices, threatening to drive oil up to $200 a barrel by attacking infrastructure in the region and blocking the Strait of Hormuz. Even if a ceasefire came tomorrow, Americans would still feel this for years.
